The greatest gift anyone could receive is the gift of salvation (asking Jesus Christ to come into your heart). While salvation is a free gift from God, to propogate this message requires finances. It is to this end...the propogation of the Gospel...that we freely give of our time, our talents and abilities, and our finances.
The Bible exhorts us to "Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust does corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust does corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Matthew 6:19-21)
